Campus Park instructed to design a major extension to a warehouse facility in Northern France

24.02.2012

Campus Park has been instructed to design an 80,000 sq.ft extension to the existing 20,000 sq.ft mixed warehouse and office facility of a global manufacturer in Northern France. The client owns the freehold of the building together with expansion land and wishes to investigate the possibility of merging several European facilities into an enlarged building on this site.

Campus Park's instruction involved a site survey and measurement of the existing facility followed by concept design drawings of buildings and site layout. This involved initial discussions with local planning authorities and utility providers.

The extension will incorporate additional warehousing for 20,000 pallets, rearrangement of the office facilities and construction of a showroom/customer meeting facility.

The completed building will total around 100,000 sq.ft but the design will be subject to further negotiations with the local authorities regarding services, building height, proximity to adjacent highways, landscaping and removal of a large area of woodland.

In addition to designing the extension of the buildings, Campus Park has provided space planning options for the office and showroom areas as well as racking layout options within the warehouse.
